Out of the box, these earbuds have a very flat and neutral sound profile that's versatile enough for a variety of audio content. They also have very consistent audio delivery, thanks to their in-ear design. Although a dip in the mid-mid can nudge vocals and lead instruments to the back of your mix, their companion app offers a graphic EQ and presets so that you can finetune them to your liking. You can also access the MySound feature in their app, which can optimize their audio reproduction to suit your unique hearing.
These in-ears have a well-built design with a comfortable and stable in-ear fit. Their continuous battery life of over eight hours should last through long days on the go too, and if you need to top their battery off, their carrying case holds roughly three additional charges. The Sony WI-C310 Wireless are the best sounding budget earbuds that we've tested. Although they don't have any customization features, these wallet-friendly headphones have a smooth and warm sound profile that's well-suited for genres like rock or jazz. They have a bit of extra punch and boom thanks to a bump in their bass range, but it doesn't overwhelm vocals and lead instruments. As a result, these sounds are still accurately reproduced, sounding clear and detailed.
Unlike other picks on this list, they also have a lightweight neck cable design so that you can wear them around your neck when you aren't actively listening to audio. They also have a decently comfortable and stable fit, but the cables leading up to the earbud are long and can get snagged on something if you aren't careful. Unfortunately, they also don't feel very durable as parts of their build feel particularly fragile. However, if you don't mind their design, they have roughly 17 hours of continuous battery life, so they should easily last through long listening sessions. LDAC is a codec created by Sony for streaming high-resolution audio. This codec passes more data over Bluetooth than the default SBC codec, but you need to use supported devices and media from services like Tidal or Nugs.net. Out of the box, they sound more neutral than the Sony WF-1000XM4 Truly Wireless, which are another pair of high-end LDAC earbuds. Although vocals and instruments are clear and bright in your mixes, you can also fine-tune their sound profile to your liking using their app's 8-band graphic EQ and presets.
These buds have a comfortable fit and feel well-built. They also support multi-device pairing, allowing you to connect them to your smartphone and laptop at the same time, and they have a great noise isolation performance, thanks to their ANC system. Their 5.5-hour continuous playback probably won't last through your day without a recharge. At least their carrying case has three additional charges if you need it.
